If I Could

If I Could

If I could hold you, just one moment,
Feel your breath about my face,
Lay heart to heart in evening shadows,
Find your sleep in soft embrace.

Watch the stars within night's glory,
Find one star that we could claim,
While holding hands below its wonder,
Seal our love beneath its fame.

Feel your head press to my shoulder,
Your arms clasp tight about my waist,
In midnights hour smell your fragrance,
Soak in silence all your grace.

Drift lazy on the lake in summer,
Reveal our heart and souls in truth,
Watch fields at night as dew comes calling,
Share simple whispers "I love you."

Entertain one sunrise morning,
Together as the hues ignite
The sky to colors so breathtaking,
Watch the same sun set that night.

Kiss the hands that knows of heartache,
Who's conquered fears of storm and rain,
Who shares herself when need is present,
Without expecting any gain,

To me more precious than are diamonds,
Exceeds the worth of all life's crowns,
A testament to love forever,
And one I accidently found.

^^The whole write is simply beautifully and heartfelt yet these last two verses just stand out for me. It shows that the writer admires such a woman and considers her in high esteem which makes him conquer any problems along the way.

Love works both ways giving each other strength not knowing that they posses such power over each other :) Not sure if that made any sense to you!

All in all I liked it :)
