Mirror

by Jessica   Jun 2, 2013

When I look in the mirror, I hate what I see.

I try, but I cant forgive me.

These heartless eyes & soulless lies is everything that describes what I happen to be.

No one knows what my cries for help are,

So I always go to far.

I'm not in a car heading some where,

I'm in the dessert in the middle of know where.

But I think this dessert is saved, for everyday it rains,

It seems as though its because I'm here,

Like its cooling off my scorching fears, but adding to my tears.

My happiest dream is to not wake up,

My worst nightmare is when I do.

I'm so far in the deep blue,

It hurts to know that I hurt you,

I am not one that you can tame,

& it's all because of this beautiful shame.

My mind is in a tangle & these tears are from an angle.

Not mine you see, for its not my memory.
