Showering Love

Showering love

I lay in bed and my thoughts question,
I contemplate life's gives and takes,
Why would love join hearts together?
To be imprisoned then by fate.

I wonder why fates so malicious,
To let me look in sunshine's eyes,
To take my heart as it were nothing,
And toss it broken to the side.

To let me hear sweet words I needed,
Inhaling fresh new breaths to soul,
While knowing it was temporal breathing,
A love I never get to hold.

Fates a ploughman without feelings,
No cares of consequence of life,
His row is lain out straight and narrow,
He will now pause or turn aside.

My heart and soul to him are useless,
Valued less than broken glass,
He will not listen to my pleadings,
Or anyone who might would ask.

These thoughts heavy when sleep comes calling,
The sandman closed my searching heart,
In sleep the dream world bid me enter,
The only place this love can spark.

There is such sadness here to which I can relate.
To only be able to dream of something instead of possess it in reality. In our dreams we are so far away from real life we can be anywhere we wish, with whom ever invades our sleeping mind.
Excellent imagery of the ploughman (fate)
enjoyed as always. Great to see that pen against paper again :)

Yeah...dreams is where anything is possible and nothing can go wrong there..

Fate is malicious..how right you are!
