Demons and Blackness

by butterflyqueen   Jun 3, 2013

Surrounded by a darkness as black as a demon's soul
I am left searching for the one I lost
It is too dark to see, or maybe I'm blind and old.
How long has it been? Was it worth the cost?

I have lost myself in the process of looking for you,
Where did you go? You disappeared in the dark
You were hurt but now I am too
I hear singing now and see light. The dark is over

This is truly good. I love the way you decribe so many things.

I love the demons soul metaphor because it is simple yet true. And when we lose our soul depression its hard to get back. We never remember when our happiness fades and sometimes we never get it back.
We always ask ourselves is it worth it? The answer is no but we promise we will get better at any cost.

The ending is great. The way you decribe the hurt and pain is great. It is hard to find someone who is so far gone. Sometimes all we can do is let go. But the end line is great because when we go to the light up above the pain dark disappear!. I love the shortness to it and the rhyme works perfect. I wouldn't change a thing! 5

Love yoyr style and voice -but yes i heard you reading it to me. Good imagery but your comparisons dont do the piece justice at all.
