Disappearing ink

What a brilliant, dramatic last line. Some great imageryhere, too.

Wow, I loved this piece! Your particular choice of words are brilliant in projecting the sadness and darkness you intended.

"You may not see the scars of your words engrave on me, but if you could would I even be recognisable?."

I don't know exactly who you are addressing in this poem but as a child abuse victim, I can tell you these words really hit home. How powerful! It takes a brilliant author to be able to express such deep pain and the after effects words can leave using such simple wording. I absolutely love it and thought to myself, this is worth quoting! The idea that words could be so scarring physically, to the point of deformation is just perfect and it is so true to humanity.

This is so creative, Tony! I remember playing with disappearing ink all the time as a kid.

Obviously, this poem is full blown heartache. Sounds like she left for another man...maybe an ex because of the line "he will leave you just like he did before"

"before, and when he does don't expect these scares to heal."

Typo - scares should be scars.

I really love the ending, how you thought your names would be forever printed on your hearts only to realize she wrote them in disappearing ink.

Well done Tony, i can relate that this is about the story of a young girl whose words of promise is disappearing. I met a lot of them, they have the word, but it is disappearing...
