Tonight Sweetheart

Tonight Sweetheart

Walk with me tonight sweetheart,
At least in mind and soul,
Take my hands and kiss my lips,
Tonight don't let me go.

Let's watch the moon rise overhead,
Let's snuggle beneath its hue,
Whisper soft words from our heart,
That end with I love you.

We'll find a star and in its glow,
Make wishes to the night,
I need you baby, in my arms,
And there to hold me tight.

Let me soothe all your pain,
Diminish all your fears,
Confide in me your deepest hurt,
So I may dry your tears.

Bond with me for all we are,
And all we'll ever be,
Without that trust between our hearts,
Are souls adrift at sea.

Your heart I cherish as my own,
And no less would I do,
The sun shines only in my world,
When I can think of you.

Your words could melt an iceberg William. This is beyond beautiful, I have missed your writings and the awesome rhyme and flow is always right on track.

Oh how I love to read your poetry, but am unable to nominate from the love section, unless you want to move it momentarily to another section. I believe this poem has a good chance in the contest, if it can get there.

    Great penning!
