Vagabond

by Rusheena   Jun 4, 2013

Time changes everything;
that's what I've learned after tonight,
as I roam the empty streets,
attempting to escape the moving shadows.
But I stop near a street light, and my
fear stops me in my tracks.
I get lost in the moment--
that fatal mistake that would change my life forever...
I remember his face, the stranger beside me,
as we took our final voyage to parts unknown.
He was a handsome, young fellow with a fire in his eyes,
until the light went out suddenly-- snuffed out by my own hand.
It wasn't my intention-- I swear. But it happened so quickly.
Before I knew it, he was still, cold to the touch,
and I was standing over him, covered in his blood.
Now, I wander the wastelands, chasing fragments of freedom,
but it's only a matter of hours, before the lost girl finds her asylum.

WOW Rusheena, taking all of those titles and putting them together, that was amazingly creative, and how you told a story in this piece...it was haunting and sad, the imagery was really powerful,

I love this write, it gave me chills but made me emotional on a personal level with the imagery, really great penmanship, and the flow was smooth throughout.
