Writing of a heart

by William Mae   Jun 5, 2013

Writing of a heart

Though bodies now apart are pining,
To be caressed and touched,
And though our lives are separate,
Our hearts cannot be crushed.

Kiss and touch desired sensation,
Are moments quick to pass,
Mind and heart, as we're connected,
Are places that will last.

Every thought strikes out for you,
Every word you write I find,
Takes residence as a owner,
Of my soul and mind.

The gifts you give is understanding,
Its knowing how I feel,
Its selfless acts of constant offering,
Love our hearts have sealed.

You tell me I can climb the mountain,
Overcome each pain that's born,
You are one that I count on,
You take my side in storms.

You lift me on your breeze to carry,
To secret spots to rest.
Wings cover me completely,
Gaining strength upon your breast.

I look at you and see a tower,
I shake my head in disbelief,
Your worth I deem as heavens treasure,
Your goodness far too high to reach.

You took me as a broken sparrow,
Fallen from life's sky,
Your healing love in constant whispers,
Tell me I can fly.

Do I make in you a difference,
Make the bluest skies more blue,
My heart leaps and soul is dancing,
Because you say I do.

There are so many beautiful lines within your stanzas that I cannot choose my favorite, a real heart toucher to say the least...

For you to stop writing would be to deprive the world of beautiful things.
