Dirge

by Lovely Kissesz   Jun 5, 2013

All this damn poetry
Has rotted me to my core.
What could I possibly write
That hasn't been written before?
What could possibly matter
That screams for my ink to spill?

I'm getting too old
(Too tired)
For this same old song and dance.
You're like a bitter old lover
That hauntingly crawls it's way
Back in.

Into my bones
Hiding your sickness within me.
Leaving me left
With so much more to say.

Emotions to thought-
Pen to paper-
Caress me with your words tonight.
Because I need to learn to accept
You're not going anywhere.
You've fused yourself to my bones
And my inkwell will never run dry.

I love how you took the thoughts I was having myself, and created such an intricate, beautifully written piece. 2 thumbs up. :)
