Night; the loneliest time of the day. The sun runs for cover, as does reality. Storms of fears and repressed thoughts break open the door into your mind. Anxiety holds a gun to your soul, screaming your every fear and regret; making sure you realize just how alone you truly are. Screaming voices echo in your mind, making sure you are listening. Each louder than its opponent. The pressure of the world grabs you by the throat. Sends you into gasping, short, yet rapid breaths. Your heart beats faster than a train. It could stop any moment. All of life's stresses throw you into an emotional havoc, wailing for some god-damned normalcy. Begging for redemption. Covering your ears won't halt the thunder. You can't escape your own mind. Bang your head against the wall, cry until there are no more tears. It won't stop. Life is always catching up. You can't keep running. The eerie night always shoves every aspect of that hell back.
