Writing on the Wall

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 6, 2013

I stare all around me
Blood producing words
On the hole decorated wall
Their cruelty no longer hurts.
I've said so many goodbyes
I ran away from love
The writing on the wall
Telling me it is enough.
My heart broken by the one
I trusted most
Taking away my sun
Leaving me uneasy and cold.
Hesitant to be with someone
Turning my cheek to a smile
Letting the tears fall like I'm running
Blanketing feelings all the while.
The writing on the wall
Stops me from speaking
My mind from where it calls
Pain silently seeping.
No one will ever know
Of the paper flower
Which my heart holds
As I scream with fear.

For such a sad topic, your amazing style manages to move me in a lot of ways. - I'm not sure why but the line "Blood producing words" really resonates with me. It's a very powerful phrase.

    All the best,
