Tell me how the sunshine glows so bright,
Yet all I feel is darkness,
Its breathtaking light,
Somehow I can't see it through all of my sadness.

Could you tell me,
The feeling of being happy?
It's something I need,
The one thing I want to be.

Tell me how lonely the moon feels,
Up in the sky while no one's awake,
It provides us such shields,
From all the harm earth cannot take.

Tell me the beauty of music,
How it can describe everything,
We take it for granted,
It helps the ones who are struggling.

Tell me what it's like to easily smile,
What a lovely way to feel,
Although I haven't been able to for awhile,
It's too good to be real.
