The Wall that Reflects a Thousand Unwritten Tales (Collab)

by Rusheena & Amreen   Jun 9, 2013

These are the remnants of a wall that has stood the test of time.
The cobblestones are etched with blood and shattered hopes,
as it sits alone in the mist of carnage,
with ages of secrets that the world will never know.
Broken glass and bullet casings litter the empty streets around it,
but not a word will be uttered of the evil responsible.
While bodies slump near the foundation and the smoke clears,
the wall remains silent, just like it has for centuries...
A subtle touch to it can breathe back
the ambience of forgotten times,
and placing an ear on its chest, echoes the unheard cries
of the martyred souls remembered today.
Yet, it has, buried in its heart, the deep secrets of history,
known only to those who have once lived it.

Wow! This is beautiful! Perhaps it is just because I absolutely love the word "breathe" I loved the line, "a subtle touch to it can breathe back the ambience of forgotten times,"
Beautifully written! Both of you! It doesn't seem like it is a collab -- it flows perfectly c:
I feel like you both brought life to walls -- embodying it wonderfully!

I really enjoyed how you gave the wall life. especially when it comes to war or any kind of struggle.

the wall remains silent, just like it has for centuries...

probably my favorite line. the wall knows every secret imaginable but won't tell a soul. it feels and sees everything. from maybe men and women crying over lost loved ones, to intense fighting because of wars but it will never tell a soul. it has know emotion and chooses know sides. i loved it.
