Tongue Tied

by Maple Tree   Jun 13, 2013

Darkest of emotions
flavor a tongue
with a slight hint
of bee stings,
painful reminders

of being alive;

yet numbing
a voluptuous
mouth, leaving
it speechless.

I wish to speak
but the demons
toss visions inside
a scrambled mind,

for now I remain
tongue tied on a
curb of floating
tears.

First off i would like too know who gave you a 4 on this poem!!

Second I really enjoyed it. Using bee stings just like Tara mentioned was genius.

    I wish to speak
    but the demons
    toss visions inside
    a scrambled mind,

My favorite stanza. Demons do nothing but steal, kill, and destroy. Taking away the ability to speak, to express yourself, to get them out of your mind, but they use there powers to keep you at their heel.

    love you poem Andrea

The power in these few stanza's Andrea!
The emotion is evident and I get that feeling totally, like you can't voice anything because you are so overwhelmed.
I love the use of bee stings, very creative and that touch of nature being so you.

    Hugs and love.
    You're awesome.
