Two Hearts, One Me

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 16, 2013

I sit on my bed, head in my hands,
Tears leaking down my cheeks
My phone showing both of your messages
Each saying the same thing: that you love me.
I hold you both close to this tired, wary old heart
Both as friends, yet one closer than the other
She admitted tonight that she wants to be with me- it rips me apart
Because I know I've hurt her.
I had told her I wanted someone else, she said that's when she realized
How much she wanted, needed, me. I don't know if it's real
Or she just wants an unsteady hold on my frozen hand
With the way she feels.

Two hearts, one me.

I love them both, but one as more
And as I sit here, curled in a little ball,
My heart's rhythm no longer sure
Of whether to continue or stall.
My mind is torn, but my heart knows who
It longs for night after night
Day after day. I listen quietly, it says You
You make it feel alive.

Two hearts, one me.

But I know who mine reaches for.

Again I love the hint of sadness in your love poems. Its hard to feel love when two people love you as much. The heart wants to explode with emotion. When you love of them equally then its so damn hard love is difficult great write 5

This poem little bit confused me. But if I get it right it s very nice. And emotional.
