Set Sail

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 18, 2013

The pier is cool and welcoming
As I tug the rope
Off its wooden post
Releasing my boat from its bosom

Allowing a gust of wind
To wave a friendly goodbye
With a smile from white clouds
In encouragement of my dreams

Of setting sail across all seven seas.

Caressing the bow
As waves slosh innocently
Across the navy blue
And golden lettering on the side
Reading:

"Cuore Oceano"
Ocean Heart.

I feel the breeze in my hair,
The salt spraying on my cheeks
Kissing my eyes
And setting me free.
