Breaking Inside

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 20, 2013

Burns lie on my skin
Scars decorating like a border
My eyes veiled by a film
Of darkness; leaving me in a corner.

The thought of losing control,
Once again,
Is like an overwhelming desire in my soul
Shielding me from the sting of pain.

I feel like I'm breaking inside
Stitches coming undone
Wounds resurfacing are confusing
Like the love and hate conundrum.

Inhaling sulfur
Exhaling brimstone
Loveless heart
Burning cold.
