Not A Dream (book spine poetry)

by Baby Rainbow   Jun 21, 2013

One child
Overheard in a dream
A baby's cry.
Hidden
Little prisoners
Damaged;
Mummy told me not to tell.
The boy no one loved
Cut,
The night the angels came.

    I love book spine poetry, it's so unique and thought-provoking. It takes longer because you have to sit and piece the right titles together to create such a vivid story with so little words. You done wonderful, of course! :)

    This story is so sad, the feeling of being unloved and ending life... always tugs at my heart when reading something like this, especially about a child. I like this because it's restricted and doesn't give too many details, it lets the reader make their own assumptions about what lead up to the ending... like what did mummy tell him not to tell, what was the secret, etc.

    Wonderful write!
