In Secret Hours.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 22, 2013

You are - scent, a world with roulettes of mists that all speak
sweetness but hold mysteries.

See, I'm not always fully living in this world.
I'm somewhere drifting in yours, dateless forests having long
thoughts about their antiquity and where they came from
and why I am not a permanent trunk among them.

I am still a misty breath your dreams have traveled through
and slept past, but never woken up to.

And please, let me shiver. Don't hide the truth away that I
long for you, even if you do not have a voice ready to greet me,
I know your journey will be mine. Each glance will be an anthem,
a chorus of runs waterfalls play like pianos rooted on bridges.

You are - mystique, and so many admire you.
Let me develop around you, wherever you are...

- wanted to write something kind of dreamy and about desired love. Inspiration for this was while listening to Philip Wesley's piano solo called "Far and Away", it's truly beautiful.

This is amazing. It is so dreamy and lovely! I love the title so much, it makes me think of nights and darkness that often are very comforting. Sometimes I feel like this is the perfect time to think & dream of course! You just have the most lovely images. Loved referring to a scent. All scents do have that bit of mystery to them. They are all so different esp perfumes & such.Just a beautiful poem.. I could say so much about this poem, wish I could nominate it!

Mary Anne! Loved this piece of love poem. You truly took me on a journey into the creative mind of the poet behind this piece.

Each sentence resounded brilliance and elegance, something i enjoyed immersing myself in. There's not a line in this poem which i did not fall in love with. So thank you for bringing such pure joy to me with a poem like this.

You certainly took me somewhere else with this piece MaryAnne, and I love the dreaminess of this, so many times we ponder and think about who we may come to love in the future, and who we would want to love, the kind of person we'd want to love us and spend time with...

I also love the wording here, it felt very sensual but still dreamy and gentle, like one of those dreams you'd like to get lost in completely, you know...

I love the nature tones and the representation of forests but you not being a permanent trunk there, how this dream passes, I think is what that meant to represent...that you don't stay there long enough.

    Really beautiful write, as always.
