I havn't spent much time there.

I haven't spent much time there,
The cracked cream walls, with the window looking out on your apple grove,
No I haven't spent much time there,

The big brass bed with the sheets she sewed,
That she now sleeps on all alone,
No, I haven't spent much time there,

Your old bible, worn and used on your bed side table,
Underneath the glasses you used to wear,
No I haven't spent much time there,

My award from grade eight that you neatly framed and hung,
On the wall across from your window,
So you could always see it you said,
It still hangs there on the wall unaware,
No I cannot spend much time there,

Because when I walk in that room,
it brings all my memories of you back,
all the stories you told,
all the walks we toke,
everything about you,
but most importantly how much you cared,
then I remember that you're not here and I will never have my grandpa back,
and that my grandma is missing her other half,
and that my dad lost his best friend ,
and the same time he lost his dad,
and that the worlds now missing one of the most amazing people it ever had ,
and none of that seems fair,
No. I haven't spent much time there.

Your emotions are so sad. I love the downfall of the poem leading up the the end. I love the story feel of it. Please keep writing

Thank you so much and I have happier poems , I'm just not sure of posting them because they seem too obnoxious.
