I love poems that rhyme, its so melodious and easily perceptible. Reading this engaged me into a short but profound ponder.

I see an innocent child born with so much cheeriness to live life to the brim at a time when life is unfair to the adult. Joy beaming from his/her face not gloom. Your hindsight telling you the path the child will obviously tread on; living life on a fast lane or perhaps running away from the past. The hidden tears streaming from the baby is evident whilst life has ended up wrecking your naivety.
And lastly you pray this child grows to find serenity in this contemptible earth whilst rejoicing his/her birth.

I love kids and I'm looking forward to having mine but whenever I realize the world they'll be subjected to when they finally arrive, I feel disheartened.

The rate at which moral decadence, insecurity; corruption, terrorism, decline in economy, inconsistency in government and politics, lack of religious obligations et al, is alarming and makes one cringe. Nonetheless, despite all that the cry of a baby in a home brings blessings and joy. So hopefully as parents and adults we try hard to create that haven for the child and be very vigilant and meticulous in training them so as to curb unforseen circumstances that'll surface.

Short but insightful, I loved it.
