The Road To Self-Harm

by phantasticstarkid   Jun 24, 2013

It's gonna happen again
I can feel it, I already know
There's just no way to avoid it
Once I've started down this road.

This road I've traveled many times
With many twists and bends
Is the only comfort that I know
We've become the best of friends.

I travel down the road each time
I feel a little mad
Or sometimes when I'm happy
But mostly when I'm sad.

I know that at the end of the road
Waits the thing I crave the most.
It's something I usually try to forget,
But it haunts me like a ghost.

I sometimes wish I had never
Traveled down the road
Cause the baggage that comes with traveling
Is quite a heavy load.

This is an interesting poem because it tells a sad tale of something no one can understand. But I know how it feels when you cant step. Its sad to feel like this. 5/5
