Vulnerable Victims

Vulnerable victims
groomed by evil,
inserted with shame
then abandoned with fear.

Vulnerable victims
crying silent tears,
praying for release,
for their demons to disappear.

Vulnerable victims
growing in the dark,
the future is colourless,
the whole world is black.

Broken spirits,
fragile hearts,
are all that remains
of those vulnerable victims.

    This poem is really deep. And it has a huge amount of sadness.

    The words choice and their simplicity conveyed the message well to the reader.

    Great poem, so many people are being victimize today and left with many uncertainties. Often times victims blame themselves for what has happen to them and are plagued with what ifs? Fears become like a broken mirror that only reflects their broken souls. I like this poem because it has so much depth in and sadness.
