Hiding from thoughts

by GRIMMxthexreaper   Jun 25, 2013

With a vague premonition,I veiled my eyes with my hands

An infamous magician bloodied the banks

An unwelcomed crow hawked out commands toward the savage vultures awaiting their humanoid feast

And with what was left of my soul, I shunned the uncanny scene, leaving the memory a blank

with careful and resolute steps, I balanced the thoughts in my mind

and away from insanity i climbed

The scene you created here is quite dark and grim.
I like how you carefully crafted each line to tell of this scene and show that image of the vulture feasting....it definitely gives me a sense of foreboding and that you can't escape yourself. That your thoughts in your mind cannot stop haunting you.

One suggestion: "vultor" should be "vulture".
    Good write!

Elegantly worded. I really enjoyed reading this, I didn't expect so much emotion. Lovely.
