Give up on giving up

by OKUNOLA KAYODE   Jun 26, 2013

A warm salty water-like slowly walked down my cheeks
I couldn't help but cry like newly hatched chicks
My respiratory system went on curfew without a decree
My body temperature was at the Celsius of 100 degree
I bitterly echoed, "Failure, not again!"
Like success, my destiny was against
The way forward I wanted
So many options my brain flaunted
The best option I wondered
Committing suicide I considered
About to drink this deadly solution, my eyes were closed
Suddenly, some strange sounds softly spoke to me as I posed
To the suicide mission firmly said "Nope!"
When there is life, there is hope.
