Depression Kills

by schmetterling   Jun 27, 2013

It didn't just appear out of nowhere,
It took years of triggers to come out.
It isn't something that can be treated by
"Thinking differently"
It's a chemical imbalance in my brain.
It isn't something funny
Or something anyone should joke about
IT KILLS.
Some people don't get out of it
Others get help soon enough.
I'm starting to become very afraid,
That I'll be one that doesn't make it.
Every night is another war
Every day is where I cover up the damage
I did to myself
Because I was trying to kill what was inside of me.
I hate when people underrate it,
When they say it isn't that bad.
IT IS THAT BAD.
It ends many peoples lives
It drives them to do things they wouldn't
If they were okay.
It leads to suicide
& what's a main trigger for depression?
Bullying.
The next time you say something
Think about what you're saying FOR ONE SECOND.
How would you feel?
If your words drove someone
To end their life
You better feel guilty
Because that's exactly what will happen
If you hurt someone with the words that come out of your mouth.
