Fairytale

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 28, 2013

The stories told of carriages, fairies, magic,
Princes searching for their princesses
True love being the purest of medicines
Though there is never anything realistic.

My heart ached as I saw the movies, read the books,
Wishing I could find a love so selfless, so perfect
I dreamed of her face, her personality, her everything with effects
So profound and beautiful leaving me forever hooked.

My eyes search those of every girl who looks back
But after years of heartbreak and loneliness I grow weary
As my empty eyes get teary,
A splendid, majestic, beauty erupts from lilac clouds.

Her beauty worthy of a realm far away
Heart so pure and lined with gold
As if she were the girl I dreamed of,
I fell in love with all of her, more and more each day.

She is more precious
More lovely and amazing
More delicate and captivating
Than the sweetest princess.

She is all the splendor of those carriages, those fairies, and that magic
All in one special, wonderfully dazzling girl
A lovely aura emanating from a beautiful soul.

A fairytale brought to life.

The love feeling is quite obviously in this poem and it really is beautiful.

It starts out sort of tragic, a young girl wishing for a princess charming and when given up and broken, per say, she finds that one.

Sometimes life flings what you want at you the moment you're about to give up searching for it.

    Nicely captured and beautifully written
