Unsustained

by Andrew Packard   Jun 29, 2013

"Unsustained" (creative sonnet)

Nothing remains sustained.
Neurons fire wind chimes,
Cerebral mind flakes stained;
forgotten tattooed flames.

Fluid memories drained .
Finding meaning in rhymes,
Sternum perched hearts encaged;
ADD mesmerize.

Charcoal enigma dreamed.
Nothing ever the same,
Mercury acid climbed;
Heraclitus proclaims.

Lost fighting entropy,
Broken matrimony.
