Stalker in the Sky

by Maple Tree   Jun 29, 2013

Footprints tap dance
on a spine, twisted,
skeletal remains
of a tree chopped
down in spring,
when growth
and new birth sings.

Grow young sapling, grow.

Seedlings sprout melodic
petals, creating a song
in the hole of a chopped
down tree.

Aw Andrea, this was truly beautiful and so hopeful! The imagery is calming and inspiring, as you write about rebirth as well as that song of nature.

    Truly a gem :]

Sooo happy to read a nature piece...nobody does them like you, and I've been deprived of this kind of beauty and peace. I love your words here, gentle and smooth, like a coaxing hand just guiding me along.

    Sooo beautiful.
