Constant

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 30, 2013

Hearts beating like a rumbling thunderstorm
Within a fragile cage of ribs
Telling of the very passion causing rose color
To flood into soft, smiling cheeks.

Butterflies bursting into stomachs
Fluttering as lips crawl closer
Growing bigger with each shaky breath,
Tickling the very ribs shielding hearts,
Bringing them together.

Feelings never felt being explored curiously,
Opening new doors to new opportunities
Allowing love to spread glorious wings
And caress the souls of two timid lovers
Whose names are etched in the surface of the moon
Visible to stars, and themselves;
Romance secretly weaving betwixt the two.

A kiss waited for,
Sweeter than anything ever tasted
Upon love's virgin lips,
Blanketing insecurity with care and subtle devotion
Paving way to delicate sighs and small smiles.

Two lovers searching each others' eyes
Discovering something so splendid:

Their love tender, breathtaking, and constant.
