Man of Truth

by Edward Oropeza   Jun 30, 2013

A man who can write a poem,
speaks directly the truth,

For every secrets he had,
are hidden by the words he wrote.

This is very true, Edward! That us poets can speak the truth, our feelings lay flat on the line... just sometimes we cover them up with metaphors and similes ... disguising our true feelings.

Small nit-pick... not each line needs a comma afterwards... you only need commas when you need the reader to pause. I actually think this poem only needs one comma.

"A man who can write a poem
    speaks directly the truth,
    for every secret he has
    are hidden
    by the words he writes."
