Alone With Myself

by Hope Bound Heart   Jul 4, 2013

I feel weak,
Sadness bleeds my mind.
Overcome with thoughts,
Emotions make me blind.

Blinded from light,
Happiness disremembered.
Crushing down on my soul,
As darkness enters.

My fragmented existence,
A life better abandoned.
All this emptiness inside,
Leaves my heart stranded.

I feel useless,
Alone in my hell.
My own worst enemy,
I battle myself.

Immersed in pain,
Doubt's my only expression.
Insecurities break me down,
I'm battling my depression.

This truly is a wonderful write sad and powerful. It truly could be based on reality.

You start out so strong and your words speak of sadness . I love the last line of your first stanza because it is sad yet true. When emotions take over we truly are blind.

When we go through depression we don't remember our happiness. Darkness always taakes over the light. Your words are great here. I love this poem your wordsare great. As I have battled depression. 5
