Healing Hearts

by Jenni Marie   Jul 5, 2013

You probably wonder...why I hold you so hard lately, why I insist every few minutes on demanding another kiss or cuddle, and why I don't want to let you out of my sight nor arms. And you probably wonder why when you ask to go to mummy's house, or to stay with mummy..why you never can.

You'll never know how difficult it is to swallow the tears as daddy makes yet another excuse as to why you have to stay with him, and you'll never know how each time he does so another small fragment of my heart is brutally murdered.

{I'm surprised I have any pieces of it left.}

You may wonder all of these things and never know the answers but mummy knows something, sweetheart. She knows sooner rather than later you'll be home with her, back where you belong. And though to mummy that day feels both near and distant simultaneously, it's approaching rapidly and mummy is so excited that when she thinks of it, it becomes difficult to breathe as she gets wrapped up and suffocates in the overwhelming emotion and love she has for you.

And though mummy's heart has been torn to pieces, she doesn't mind anymore because she knows one day, one day very soon, those pieces are going to pick themselves up from the ground and assemble themselves whole once more.

You'll be home soon, sweetheart.

I promise.

    Beautiful as always and truer words could not have been spoken ^ you should be proud of yourself.

    A mother's promise is the most loving, powerful gift and there is no way it is going away, it will be coming soon!
