But if love is stronger than shame, then I must say that I haven't loved shamelessly. Except that one time, where I told everyone about how gorgeous your presence was. No I have not loved shamelessly yet. I've hid behind my heart, hoping you wouldn't find me,hoping all the cluster and emotional baggage wouldn't let you know it was there. They told me to be weary of those like you, that one taste of honey could make all else taste less than sweet. But I wanted it, I wanted it but still fell shame. Ashamed of the way I'd fall on the floor for just a kiss. Ashamed, ashamed of how sacrificial I had become. and when I realized that love indeed was stronger than shame, you were with someone that life had already taught that lesson to. Sorry for my lack of experience, sorry for not having lines around my eyes just yet, I don't know better, I can't see pass my youth. |
