Bored like a tree is Sawn

by Blood of a Lion   Jul 7, 2013

(more of little sayings I've come up with over the years)
----
Made with ashes, drawn with wind, and beaten with feet, along with the chimney and fire and brimstone what does not make the fire itself but the kindling and the wood?

Or the hand that strikes the match for those to see, or even the one who strikes iron on flint.
Is this, as in a day like that of a perfume, or that of smoke of cherry wood?

For one of the two do kill, but only one so much as suffocates and consumes what is laid upon it.

A fire, mixed with icy caves, and a damp wind is one that uplifts and gives light, and yet tears at the soul like ravaging waves.

Even the strongest of rock is worn away by nothing more than water.

Yet the rocks and mountains still stand, even tho' the waters themselves fill them to the brim and trickle down the sides, or rush into a waterfall, how little water is and yet how deadly.

Even the strongest of flames eventually die by water, e'en because they can feast no more.
Nuts are for squirrels...
