Inside my dream

by Xandra   Jul 8, 2013

What doth lie inside my dream
A dream of love so pure and sweet

Love as strong and vast as the sea
two lovers entwined, him and me

I, a child and he, a man
our love is not one to comprehend

It knows no bounds, its free of chains
endless laughter in endless pain

Dancing together, not tangled in time
We fly together, an innocent crime

Inseparable we are, no force can cause part
Our lives forever fused, two lovers with but one heart

I love this piece. Its going in my favorites and I'm giving it a nomination for the contest. other than the first stanza not rhyming it is perfect. And other than that I have nothing negative to say either.

I like the english feel to this poem as it talks about love. When you are in love it really does feel like two hearts are truly one.

The only problem I have with it is the first two lines dont rhyme and it doesn't really flow with the rest of the poem. :). Just a small flaw. Other this poem is very romantic and the feel of love is great. 5

Thank you for the comment. (:

I used to have trouble with rhyming when I was little. I remember writing a poem where I used "grass" and "happy" as rhyming words... The teacher didn't agree with me there though.

I'll keep working on the rhyme and flow of my poems! (:
