This Firey Bliss

by Xandra   Jul 8, 2013

I saw the burning inside his eyes
Glimpsed his strange smile as he lips left mine

The searing pain, no doubt from the fire
that coursed through his body, now coursed through mine

The embers now faded to a dull, warm glow
with every beat of my heart growing increasingly slow

It seems long ago I felt the fire he started
Quick was his entrance, and quicker he departed

Now here I stand waiting once more for his kiss
to leave me in that breathless, fiery bliss
