Cold and Lonely Nights

by Jeraun Terre   Jul 8, 2013

Laying in a cold bed wrapped by loneliness
Its soothing warmth comfort the shivers
Lost in the depths of my mind
Welcoming all the misery it delivers

The days are empty
And the nights are freezing cold
Food doesn't taste the same
And my heart suddenly froze
Continuous nights of crying
Crying because love has failed
Drifting all alone on a distant island
Realizing my happiness has sailed
Emotionally I'm a wreck
Mind going in circles like a Mary go round
Trapped like the walls are closing in
Cold, alone too scared to make a sound
My fragile heart suffered enough
A desolate soul left to drift away
With unwelcoming thoughts of loneliness
Praying these feelings go away
