The Fallen

by Bailey   Jul 9, 2013

I fell from the heavens,
With a trail of fire,
I landed on the hard earth,
Then came the singing of the choir.

They sang of blood and death,
Then they suddenly stopped,
They told me to look behind me,
When I did my heart dropped.

Sadness came over me,
My angel wings were gone,
But then I realized,
That I'm not the only one.

Others surrounded me,
I thought they were a fable,
Now I know they aren't,
'Cause I'm a Fallen Angel.

I like this poem a lot. Because it is so simplistic but you voice what you wanted to say. I lovr the title first of all. Its great from what the poem reads. The rhyming isgood and it flows so very well. I love the last stanza as the angel is not slone with her fallen wings. It kinda has the feel that they have all fallen to hell. I love that mmetaphor. Overall its good! 5
