Silk Ribbons

by Maple Tree   Jul 15, 2013

I whispered a vow to the sky
of breezes sprinkled in Jasmine,
swaying to a verse recited
by the ghost on the hill.

Meadows shade her shadow
in evergreen silk ribbons
but I see her, feel her.

Often- trees thump
a heartbeat I've heard
before the final breath,
for spirits dance in
synchronized melodies
that become dandelion
puffs on my nose, and toes.

Beauty sprigs the ghost of
elegance, and I wear their
memory in chains of natures
blissful glory....

    "for spirits dance in

I have this odd feeling you giggled when you wrote this part, lol. Love the 'dandelion puffs on my nose, and toes." part... that is an adorable scene, very child-like innocent.

This whole poem is just absolutely beautiful. I have a pretty meadow scene in my head... reminded me very much of a Nora Roberts book I've read where she had fairies in Ireland (you'd LOVE the book lol).

Peaceful! This piece is indeed beautiful in meaning, thoughts, imagery and words. It just surrounds one with utter peace and when I read your nature poems, I feel I have fell in love with Nature again. Very inspiring and gentle.

    Keep penning:)

You know how much we all love your nature poems and I especially...and I know how nature calms you...so obviously this piece was destined to beautiful and it was, it flowed smoothly and touched me deeply...there was such an elegance with the jasmine and dandelions...

    As always, you write perfectly
