She wished
I would tell her the truth this time
And stop apologizing for the same mistake.
But animals of nature follow a steady ritual.
She didn't understand asking me to change was not enough, and I wouldn't compromise in that.
Holding her hand was not enough
And never forgetting the look on her face when we first met couldn't stir me.
