All Too Real

by Gone Forever   Jul 17, 2013

Streams of black run down my face,
full of pain and agonizing grace.
Never have I felt this ever before
as my knees give out, and I fall to the floor.

Give me the strength to stand
and to face the pain from the rubber band,
let me not crumble and give in
as I slowly slide my knife from its tin.

Slide it across my wrist with a cry,
because these tears just will not dry.
Watch as the blood spills onto the floor
and outwards, towards, and under the door.

Don't let me die on this night,
Lord knows I've put up a good fight.
Yet, as of now I can no longer feel
anything but the pain that's all too real.
