Drown Out the Sickness

I love it

If ever there comes a time
when you can't feel my hand
nestle in your palms, look to
the sky and feel my smile.

- Wow, such a powerful opening. Right away we can feel the emotion is that of comforting someone and therefor suggests it will be a touching poem. I like how this could be put into any relationship/friendship and no matter how far the distance, we all share the sky so it just emphasises that you are promising to always be with this person no matter what.

When darkness caresses
your eyelids in a deep slumber,
feel the spirited vibrations flowing
from my heart to your yours.

- again it shows that 2 hearts can be connected no matter where they both are, this shows the connection and bond being strong between you, how you want to bring them out of the darkness and will be there when they feel there is no return. The words "spirited vibrations" are so powerful together and work so well for this message, it is not just a connection, the vibrations are filled with love and hope and wishes and everything else. Beautiful touch to the poem.

I shall be the light in a world
where black becomes a shade
of positive memories, fear will
be a thought not to consume,
but to reflect upon in time of need.

- I adore this little stanza, so much comfort and protection is felt here within these promises. It is very touching because right from the start the reader will have someone in mind that they feel this poem relates to. I love how you change all the negative and turn it into positivity. It shows your determination to make life better for them and to never let them feel alone on the dark days.

A shadow lurking will be a giggle
that radiates when all other forms
of negativity swallow you whole,
for my love shall drown out the
sickness....

- very nice way to end, the ultimate promise of your love, which in itself will conquer all. It will be there regardless and we can feel this through out your words. The great thing about love is that it can be felt from a distance, and sometimes when the darkness does swallow us, this little reminder of the love we do have is enough to keep us going towards the light.
