Mother Dearest

by Mainey   Jul 20, 2013

You are my mother that's what I know
But I thought you were here to watch me grow,
To be there and help me when times turn bad
Not to play with my emotions and make me sad ,
you weren't there to see me when I cry
I guess you were to buisy just being high,
Now life has came and passed you by
And now I'm older asking you why,
Why did you leave me why weren't you there
I guess you were to young and just didn't care,
You weren't there when I was little and scared
What can I say I guess life isn't fair

This poem is so very sad because a lot of people go through this or have been through this. I see one flaw on the 6th line buisy should be busy. The poem is good and I loved the rhyming.

Its sad to think that you went through this. I am so sorry for that. You really did say it all in the poem though. Your mother left you when you were little and you have moved on in life. I guess that is all you can do because although it will always hurt I think you will have good support. You are very brave to share this with the site. You are strong! 5
