I Could Not Give It a Name

by Jaymi Lynn   Jul 21, 2013

And in that silken sky I searched,
With sullen eyes, through every star
For that which with no name could ease thy hurt;
And if that which with no name could comfort thy heart,
Which that with no name had caused it pain,
Oh! how the yearnings would cease and glory would reign
From that silken sky I searched,
With sullen eyes, through every star
All my life, for something I simply could not name.

    Love it!!! I like the image you painted with your words, of someone waiting for something extraordinary to happen... we all get that feeling at some point, that something is missing but we don't know what it is... great write!
