Her Free Fall

by Marky   Jul 23, 2013

I looked at myself in the mirror,
and shunned away.
I don't know what I live for,
when I look this way.

I study the gash on my brow,
the black eye n bleeding nose,
I didn't want this row.
But it was inevitable, I suppose.

I want to tear this flesh off of me.
I want to scream at my insecurities.
what you did, will never leave me.
My body is leaking these impurities.

I turn back to the mirror.
Utter disgust eating at me.
So this is all I can live for?
Your punch bag, is all I can be?

I don't know what I live for,
when I look this way.

You touched my body, with a tender stroke.
every tingling touch drawing blood.
You mutilated my skin my heart you broke.
I could die here in this reddening flood.

You lied when you said you loved me,
and I have no cause to doubt you.
Still you begged to disagree.
Beat me till I was black and blue.
My soul crushed, you truly have beaten me.

You beat me till I was black and blue.
what you did, will never leave me.

what you did, will never leave me.
My soul crushed, you truly have beaten me.
