Upon The Mountain Top

by Jaymi Lynn   Jul 23, 2013

Upon the frosty tops
of snowed dipped mountains tips,
where the borders of the northern lights
chant lullabies to the wind,
is where many gazes have often been fixed;
for mine has as well, in fact,
to more nights than there are stars
in the black midnight sky.
I've counted each but often immediately forgot
when my eyes, once more, set sight upon the mountain top.

    This was a simple yet easy to picture nature poem! Love how much you have painted for the reader to enjoy in not too many lines, and it all flows very well. I would be in wonder and awe if I saw the northern lights, so that was neat you included that as well as the personifications you made, and counting stars...lovely.

    Keep writing.
