Dark Soldiers

They stalk their prey to kill
this is done with great skill
terminating with great pride
as if God is on their side

The conscience never forgets
that someone often regrets
though it is often denied
that a human being died

Some can see providence
as they proclaim innocence
by justifying results of homicide
soldiers must sometimes hide
