What made her act

by SimIsSeiko   Jul 25, 2013

What made her act?
I want to tell you a story of a sad but strong little girl
One who constantly made you all worry
Because she always had to act out

She never listened or ever cried,
She never hurried or ever smiled.
She couldn't laugh,
She didn't know how,
And she always always had to act out

She didn't study or do her math.
And if she got angry you would all feel her wrath
She didn't hug, or say the word love
Cause she didn't do what she wouldn't get back
And if you looked a little closer,
You'd notice, that no one ever held her hand

I won't tell you what happens after that,
Or if she ever smiled or learned how to laugh
I won't tell you if her ending was one that was happy
Or one that was sad
But I'll tell the reason that made that girl act
Because she wasn't loved,
She never gave love back

This poem is so very sad. I love how you used this poem as a story. I can see this based off reality. I can imagine this little girl standing in thmiddle of a dark room crying her eyes out. It seems like she is depressed in this poem and it would make sense as you said it seems like she has been rejected all her life. The very first line is the most powerful one I feel. Its a question that no one usually knows. So again I love the story feel to it. The message is very strong though. I think thrre is a lot of people that can relate yo this poem. I know I can so thats why I was drawn to it. I love thr sad element to it. There seems to be no hope at all which I like a lot. I think you did great! 5/5
