Revitalized.

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 27, 2013

Narnian dreams attached to lunchbox stickers,
rustic doorknobs, and squealing windows
where the world is a music box
awaiting a soul to open up to...

you never were fixed upon the notes
this world had to offer.

When skies have an addiction to words
born from lovemaking clouds,
when unexpected love traces the soul
a pathway to maturity,
when a ghost ship returns but this
time
is captivated by the helm it now
yearns to learn...

there is no death in the shadows.

For love has conquered the childish
fears, shameful blushes, and self-
seclusion,

love is steering toward a worthy journey.

Love is in control.

Umm...that first line...whoa. I have to stop and regroup after that one.

I loved the musical references you intertwined into this piece. I feel as if it made for a more whimsical and melodic poem that just flowed into each other.

"Lovemaking clouds" really?! How freakin cool is that! Gosh, that sounds so unique and just works!

I love how you said love can lead to maturity. There is so much truth in that! Love is one of the best life teachers in my opinion and makes us grow up even if we are not ready to.

Love is definitely in control! I loved the form you chose to right with here. It fits the feel of the poem perfectly.

Such a wonderful piece you have here, you used the prompt flawlessly :)
